Looking for better ways to treat a pain in your neck (and in your back), a Gainesville company is developing a device that will actually replace malfunctioning spinal vertebrae. Currently, surgeons typically fuse vertebrae together to correct abnormal motion within the spine.

TrueMotion Spine is an affiliate company of the Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator in Alachua, and it also participated in the Gainesville Area Innovation Network’s first startup Shoot Out, an event where startups quickly pitched their products and services to a number of investors.
